Bio

Based in the heartland of Louisville, KY is the Americana-folk duo griffytown, comprised of Bex and Katy Rene Quinn. Their original songs preserve the nostalgia of their ancestral roots while breathing fresh life into melodies that awaken the soul. Bex and Katy have traveled from the islands in the Pacific to the Eastern seaboard, journeying down south to Mayan lands, sharing health, humor, and an unforgettable experience through the power of song.

 

The duo first met in 2011, completing their first album in 2013. 

 

Now in 2023, with a catalog of 40 original songs and a faithful in-person following spanning multiple continents, the duo has partnered with film director Elias Feghaly to bring their music and stories to the digital world. Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube are now generously graced with the music of griffytown. Their online content is growing daily, reflecting the intimacy created at live performances.

 

Their lyrical themes tap into the realms of deep trauma, addiction/recovery, spiritual connection, and the surprising simplicity of real love. The melodies range from the haunting, mountain wailing, that you will hear in I Will Rise to the light-hearted, feel-good swing of Peaches.
